Mission : Aztek

Aztek
The story

The year is 1519 and you find yourself in the jungle near the Mexica capital city of Tenochtitlan, as a Spanish conquistador. You have already have heard the natives speak of the treasure of the Lost City of Gold. There the Emperor Tlatoani Montezuma has hidden jewels from his palace of Axayacati. And among them, the mythical Crystal Skull. But the city is not what it first seems. Not only must you decipher all the clues and puzzles, but it turns out that finding the treasure is only half the problem. The other half is how to escape with it. Buena suerte!

So come on ... I didn't understand the history of this room, just something like you have to go and get a Crystal skull from a Mayan temple. I must admit that neither the jungle nor the temple could convince me (the big white heater in the jungle might have had something to do with it).

But let's go back a bit. Exit the room is a Hungarian brand with franchises in Austria and Germany. The rooms had not convinced me, but disappointed me in Austria. It is mainly the lack of history, the dilapidated decoration and the very unoriginal enigmas.

This hall will not be a drastic change of level. Here some mechanisms are fighting with a lot of different locks (yes, we'll think we're in 1519!).

We will thus solve the enigmas one after the other. There are one or two that I really liked a lot, the others are surely suitable for novices.

On the other hand the lack of history and the very "minimalist" decoration did not make me travel.

The positive points in addition to the few original puzzles (but not in the theme) was the Game master who followed very patiently our requests (well he was directing us quite a bit too).

I thought I would have regretted not playing this room in real because there are many other nice halls in Budapest. But it wasn't amazing, it is however one of the nicest in my opinion of those played so far at this venue.
