Mission : Tesla's Mystery

Tesla's Mystery
The story

How many brilliant discoveries on the account of the great scientist Nikola Tesla! But there is one special project that was the main business of the famous physicist’s life… The secret invention is shrouded in mystery — no one fully knows what its essence is. But difficulties don’t stop you!

Having decided to test a new time machine, you gather a team of assistants and go straight to the beginning of the twentieth century. Will you learn all the secrets of Tesla? Hurry up: you only have an hour to go back in time. If you stay even for a minute — you will disappear forever into time and space.

This quest takes place in an online format. During the game, the operator will become your hands, feet and eyes in the quest. You will have to dive into the story and control the avatar on the screen to cope with all the challenges. Everything is as in reality, only without leaving the house!

To participate, you will need headphones and a microphone — a link to the room in Zoom will be sent to your email after your reservation is confirmed by the operator.

The minimum number of participants is 2 players. You can play together or assemble a full team. This way the adventure will become even more interesting!

Discounts and promotions are not applied. Please note that the schedule shows Moscow time for sessions.

    Our opinion:

    By Snow & Saol

It is often said that punctuality is the least polite. Those who know us know that in our marathon escapes we sometimes have trouble being punctual, but we always take care to inform the sign and accept if our adventure will be shortened in this way, but what I hate is when the sign is late as it is right now. It is 5:13 pm and we have been waiting for 28 minutes in front of a closed zoom window. For the online escapes the habit wants that we connect 15 minutes before. Take by the way in their mail we are clearly asked not to be late.

Here we are waiting in front of a screen that tells us to wait while waiting to play Tesla's mystery at Claustrophobia in Moscow.

In the end our session will be postponed because of technical problems. We are quite disgusted because we had been offered to play global dominance, also at Claustrophobia with 20 international players, but strangely enough there were no more technical problems for them.

But it's only a postponement. We will play on Friday evening.

BUT, on Friday, at the agreed time, we still haven't received the zoom address of our game. So we try to contact them between whats app messages and phone calls. We will be received by Andrei with 15 minutes delay.

He presents us quickly the functioning of this online game and tells us that we have the permission to take screenshots and to film (so I tried to record but it didn't work because I needed permission...) What bothered me is that he spent the time to record us, certainly according to him in order to improve their "service" but I find that we have to ask for permission before.

No real inventory here but a PDF document of quite a few pages, small text, by hand, with drawings and diagrams that will serve as a guideline.

So Andrei will launch the video introducing the story. The video looks very nice, but unfortunately we won't understand much because we will be told that due to "technical problems" we didn't get the subtitles, only the Russian version. These technical problems seem to be a common thread.

But well, so much the worse for the story.

And the game can begin: Nika is our avatar and thanks to her we will start by introducing us to Tesla.

Claustrophobia is a brand that has managed to export itself all over the world. The common point of all their rooms are very high quality photos and impressive rooms in their mechanics.

So you can imagine my disappointment when we start with a key. I reassure you that this will be the only one!

Nika will show us in a very efficient way the rooms we enter. The decoration is quite minimalist and declined in shades of gray and brown. This makes the distinction between the different objects quite difficult, but Nika will do her best to overcome this difficulty.

We will meet a lot of mechanimses here. Some of them are really impressive. That's the great strength of the room, but I still lack the narration and the decoration to really catch the eye.

    + We enjoyed +

    • some of the mecanisms

    - We didn't like -

    • The various "technical problems
    • The fact of being filmed without being asked for it
    • Lack of decoration
    • A very long document to read
    • The issue at the end
