SCENARIO
Welcome to our laboratory, you have accepted to be the guinea pigs in a confidential experiment whose results can revolutionize humanity. We have developed a serum that allows several individuals to share the same dream... Will you be able to return to reality?
"LIFE IS A MYSTERY TO BE LIVED, NOT A PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED."

La grande évasion is a venue originating from Chambery which is also installed a few meters from l'atelier des énigmes close Annecy. They offer us 3 themes today.
There are parking spaces in front of the sign which is of course pleasant. We are received here by the bosses, a very nice couple who seems to do everything here, with great passion and a huge smile.
The welcome is pleasant, around a small drink in a specific space for each room, decorated with the theme of the room we are going to play.
For our second adventure in this venue we have chosen a theme that intrigues us and is quite unusual: a trip to a dream world... or a nightmare.
Five of us will go to the rescue of a young girl who seems to be stuck in her dream. We all remember the not-so-serene nights in our youth when strange shapes began to come to life, when open cupboards or the space under the bed became the realm of monsters and all the noises gave us goosebumps.
Let's start by noting that to face this dream you need to be between 4 and 8 adventurers, which is a remarkable number for an escape. So I think that as often 8 is a lot but 5-6 or even 7 is quite playable.
This room is different from all the ones we've played so far.
It's the gameplay that's very original. It reminds me a little bit of a board game with cards that we would reveal. I won't tell you more about it. Here you have to be patient, think and not try to cheat because it would spoil all the fun. Observation is also put in the spotlight. Manipulations are not honored, however, but we find all the codes of an escape, with one more thing.
The puzzles vary between linearity and multidirectionality. It's very nice. We will evolve through the spaces alone, in small groups or all together.
The dream cage is playful and cerebral. It's the dream side, the loss of references, the fantasy or the anguish, the emotions that make you wake up with your heart beating that I miss.
I didn't feel rushed or stressed, but rather carried away by the riddles. The atmosphere is not very marked. It would benefit from being more surreal.
The clues are sent through a screen, which is a pity because it doesn't really enhance the immersion.
We defeated the nightmare and its monsters after 54 minutes with 5 confirmed players.
I liked the dream cage and its original and surprising gameplay, there's not much else to say, isn't there?
