    Our opinion:

    By Snow & Saol

For our second adventure at The Box in Metz, we leave for a burglary. A small drink, a glance full of envy towards the chocolates (which you can only get to after solving a riddle) and here we are in the corridor in front of the room for the briefing.

Here, the security briefing is not done by the same person who is waiting for us in the corridor. Moreover, the "pseudo" security guard/jewel thief doesn't reassure us with his slightly crappy plan and his lack of courage. In a role-playing game full of talent, our GM/ accomplice lets us loose in front of this diamond trading center and wants to get a share of the loot, while we are the ones risking everything by entering this place.

Luckily we were a little more talented

We take a quick look at each other and get down to work without hesitation. There's a booty waiting for us!

At the beginning, we have a little trouble being smarter than the security system put in place by the 2 jewellers, but thanks to a little help from our accomplice, we are making good progress in this unknown and hyper-secure space. Sometimes we really feel like we're stealing jewelry. There are some very well done and quite coherent puzzles here because some of them are related to the security system used to protect the wealth of the family that owns them.

I also very much appreciated an enigma that forces you to know more about the history of this family.

Some puzzles are however a little repetitive and quite linear for a group too large, the search is however well done and can occupy a player.

The end is in apotheosis and raises the stress level of the beginner burglars that we are, which is very appreciable.

To conclude, it's a very nice room to discover what an escape game is, but also for more confused players. The puzzles are interesting, even if one or two are a bit repetitive in their resolution.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Marc (manager and MJ of this session) who arranged as much as possible on the schedules and who shared with great pleasure his passion with us :)

    + We enjoyed +

    •  The burglar who explained our mission to us...
    • The diversity of puzzles
    • An enigma that forces us to understand story
    • The interesting and very present searching
    • Marc

    - We didn't like -

    • some repetition in some puzzles
    • decors that does the job, but could be more advanced.

    For who?

    • Pour les Marylins (Diamands are the girls best friends)
    • Pour les fans de coffres et de bijoux
    • Pour les cambrioleurs / enquêteurs

    Why play it?

    • Parce que c'est une salle fun
    • Qui allie reflexion et amusement
