You had a birthday party scheduled today at Mr. Smiley’s Arcade, but an hour before you left your house, you received a call from the Arcade Attendant warning not to come and that Mr. Smiley left a bomb in the Arcade overnight after some kids stuck pizza to the ceiling! In order for you to make it to your birthday party, you’ll have to help the Arcade Attendant defuse the bomb so you and your friends can have a blast playing all your favorite games!
Please note, you’ll be experiencing our classic Escape Room Mr. Smiley’s Arcade. For the purposes of this game, minor adjustments have been made to maximize your virtual experience. We strive for the best possible experience in everything we do, so you’re bound to have a great time! Please feel free to reach out with any questions ahead of time.
Just like the normal rooms, the rooms that can be played visually can take many different forms.
Arcade online is an adventure that can be played with visio (a young woman solving things live in the room) but also in the inventory (telescape) on a separate webpage. Usually I would advise to have 2 screens to enjoy the adventure, but this time most of the puzzles are in the inventory so you don't miss much by being in one or the other.
We are greeted by an energetic young woman who invites us to discover the room in the inventory while leading her into the room. So we have the opportunity to look at different puzzles. We start to divide up the tasks.
Basically we manage to solve a lot of puzzles and games in this inventory. We divide up quickly and very naturally. In case someone gets stuck on a code, the others come and help. The system is quite nice and works well. We all have something to do, but it's not what I would normally call an immersive escape. A juxtaposition of fun puzzles, but not an immersive game.
The adventure is still fun and we had a good time, but we didn't play much together in the end.
