Outsmart the dastardly clown and retrieve your stolen belongings from the Escape Royale Circus!
Your wallet, gold watch and pearl necklace are all missing. You've just been to a show at the Escape Royale Circus and it seems like the cunning performers have stolen your most valuable possessions. Return quickly to find your belongings before the next show begins!
I am delighted to see that some venues are getting off the beaten track with more original themes. For this first venue at Escape Masters in New Zealand we chose Circus.
After Escape Circus of escape time this is the second time we are in a circus of which we want to escape.
We meet our Game master Justin in the middle of a colored room with elements reminding the circus thanks to a google Hangout (personally I find the quality not as good as zoom, moreover we can't take a group picture, nor customize our names nor our wallpapers. It's less fun).
But we'll make do with it. To help us we also have access to a google drive on which we find as we go along the elements discovered in our search.
We're going to find the different props of the circus members in a colorful environment with a lot of padlocks. Don't be irritated by the QR codes everywhere, it's a system to ask for clues when we're in the room, this uqi is very unusual for us, but we're in front of the screen so we'll get some clues from the Game Master if we need them.
I was overwhelmed by the number of things we find at the beginning, having the impression several times to be able to open padlocks, but in fact we will always miss elements. We'll have made quite a bit of progress before we can open our first padlock. Then everything happens so fast that we can't always agree on where to send Justin.
I generally felt like I couldn't get organized and didn't really know where to go. But the acceleration towards the end quickly made us forget about our many blocks at the beginning.
On the whole the puzzles are logic puzzles or rather nice manipulations. There are narrative elements that allow us to find our belongings hidden by someone we'll call Oscar. We'll even want to forgive this rascal for stealing.

Why play it?
